Georgia, located in Southwestern Asia, is located on two continents, Europe and Asia. Georgia is a member of the World Trade Organization, the United Nations and several other international organizations. Growth of agricultural products, including citrus fruits, grapes and hazelnuts serve as one of the country's chief economic activities. This sector also serves as an important profession in the country. Georgia has rich deposits of mineral resources, especially manganese and copper. Other deposits include iron ore, barites, coal, oil, tungsten, molybdenum and peat. It also has significant deposits of marble, talc, dolomite and clays for construction. |
